For WashU's Lunar New Year Festival, I conceptualized, directed, filmed, and edited two trailers to promote both the audition process and the final show. These videos got shown to over 1000+ people on Instagram and Youtube and successfully aided in selling out all three of our shows.
The Show Trailer (above) emulates a more dramatic tone, mainly focusing on each individual act and highlighting some moves that people can get excited to see in person. This year's Festival theme was "Interwoven, Year of the Snake" which I represented through both my typeface choice as well as the way the text weaves in onto the screen.
The Audition Trailer (below) is more upbeat, emphasizing the community aspect one might obtain if they join LNYF as well as snippets of performance and practice atmosphere. My Co-Multimedia Director Minjung Song also contributed to filming and editing this trailer.
